A requirement for life

I think every person should have to work either in fast food or retail as their first job before getting a real job in life. Don’t get me wrong, fast food and retail are essential industries, and they provide valuable services to our communities; many people genuinely enjoy working in these roles. However, if you’ve never worked one of these two jobs, you may not fully understand the challenges these employees face on a daily basis. Unfortunately, many customers are mean and rude to these employees, often blaming them for issues that are actually the result of management and ownership problems. For instance, screaming at employees during a busy rush, throwing items in frustration, or cursing at them can create an incredibly hostile work environment. It’s disheartening to witness such behavior, especially considering that these workers often manage stress and pressure while trying to serve the public effectively. So, it’s my theory that if you work one of these two jobs as your first job ever, you might develop a greater respect for those who work in these roles later in life. This respect can lead to a more empathetic society, where people are less likely to be rude or dismissive towards service workers. Therefore, I urge everyone to be nice and polite to everybody working in retail and fast food; it’s simply a matter of human decency. In a world where kindness can sometimes feel scarce, we should strive to respect people and treat them as we’d want to be treated ourselves, creating a more considerate and compassionate environment for everyone.
